TRANSLATOR - PROJECTS
Through the "My Projects" password protected facilities you will be able to virtually manage and track your projects, and negotiations between yourself and the client. Each stage of the process monitored, from, first receiving notification for a "request for a translation quote", to price negotiations with clients, and tracking payments.

From your My Projects home page you will be notified about what new translation work has been submitted for a quote, and work which you have ongoing.

Each of the listed text links in the My Projects links you to different folders to allow you to carry out various activities, virtually.

Displayed alongside each of the projects activities in brackets ( ) will be the number of "work activities". If there are no activities in each of the folder then (0) will be showing.

However, if for example a client requests "translation" for text to be translated from Russian into English, and it matches your "profile" then your My Projects folder list "Texts to Translate (not translated) will display:

Texts to translate (not translated)

This folder will have listed requests for "Quotes". It is automatically updated when translations requests are made. Which is when the client makes a post to The Bag Lady - "Trade Lead" and requests their "trade lead" to be "translated" into another "language, or languages".

Your folder will automatically display the request by a number in the brackets(1), that is, if the "language" requesting translation matches your profile. You will receive notification of translation requests by email, if you selected this option through your "My Profile- Translation Details" folder.

After clicking on the "Texts to translate link" the following page provides details of the text to translate, the type of text and, the source language and target. You can view the "text" to be translated, by clicking on .

After viewing the text should you wish to provide a "Quote" you must submit this through, Texts to translate -under price negotiations with client folder.

When a number is displayed e.g., (1) in the My Projects Folder you can access the details of the clients "text" needing translating and, provide a quote.

To view each client details you click on the icon.

The text needing translation will be displayed on the following page.

To submit a "Quote" you click onto View price negotiations text link You will then be taken to a page displaying screen below:

From this page you can submit a "Quote", by pressing the "Offer Price" button which will take you to the "Offer Quote for Translation Form", displayed below.

You Click on the "Calculate price" button, the "total price for the text translation" is automatically calculated and entered into the field box. Your "price per word" for text translations has already been submitted through your "My Prices" folder, and this is what is used to "calculate" the total cost.

When translation "Quotes" per word and, language needs higher, or lower pricing, you can change these by accessing the "My Prices" folder.

Any additionally comments which is relevant to your "Quote" can be entered, your payment terms and conditions for example. These comments along with your "Quote" will be emailed to the Client, and can also be viewed online through their "My Orders" folder facilities.

After submitting "Quote" you will view "Price Negotiations with Clients" screen. An email has automatically been sent to the client informing them of your "Quote".

If the client agrees to your "Quote" you are notified by email and you can continue with the "translation" through Texts to translate (work in progress) Folder .

The client through their My Orders folder can decline or accept the "Quote", should they decline the quote, there will be a notice in your Price Negotiations with Clients folder displaying "Price is Declined".

Text to translate (work in progress)

You will receive an "email" on whether you "Quote" was accepted or declined. On the client acceptance of your "Quote" you can access the "text" and carry out the "translation".

On the My Project home page your, Texts to translate -work in progress will display- (1). Clicking on text link takes you to the following page, displayed below, where your "text to translate-work in progress" projects are listed.

You click on the icon which will take you to the page where you can view the text, and then carry out the translation by clicking on the text link, Edit translation.

You have the editing facilities, to save work and come back and complete later. The work is saved online in your "folder".

Once satisfied you can "commit" the translated work for "client approval". For security the copy/edit features will be disabled when the Client views the translated text online.

All completed translations waiting for client approval are listed in this folder.

The client has been notified by email that the translation work is complete and, it now requires their "approval".

Translated and, client approved translations waiting payment are listed in this folder. The client has been sent an email with "Translators contact details".

After payment is made to the translator, the client must confirm payment through their "My Orders" folder. The translator is informed of the clients confirmation of payment by email:

Declined- translated texts

Completed translations which have not been "approved " and, which have been declined by the client are listed in this folder. (Refer to Negotiation Policies)

Clients who "decline" translated text must provide their reasons. Translators can view clients "comments" through the "declined-translated text folder" and are notified by email.

Translators have the opportunity to rectify any problems, and requests the client to review "translations". It may possible be that the "client" is unable to "view translated text" as they have not "customised their browser" to appropriate "character language settings".


Cancelled projects

All cancelled translations are listed in this folder. Both parties (translators and clients) can "withdraw" from negotiations by using the "Cancel" button.

However, it is required to provide explanations in the online cancellation form, shown below. The client is notified by email, and can access information online through their My Orders folder.

The translator is notified when a client "cancels a projects" through their My Orders folder.

Full list of translation projects

You can "virtual" monitor your projects by accessing the "Full list of translation Projects" section, through the text link on your My Projects folder.

You can use the "search facilities" to access records of all projects and negotiations", and when payments were made. In addition to the target and source language, (Source Lang - language translating from; Target Language - language to translating the text into), the date when the client requested a "quote", and the dates that the negotiationsconcluded.

To search for projects, you have to click the <Filter button> after you have entered appropriate characters, or numbers in the "fields boxes", or selected from the drop down list boxes.

Details of "your projects" will be returned. You can search by any of the fields listed above, or just by one of the fields.

Negotiation Policies

Translators Cancellations- Our policy for Translators cancelling more than 3 times after providing "Quotes" and, clients agreeing to their "price" (without satisfactory reasons, agreeable to all parties)-: suspension from offering their services under The Bag Lady.

Client Cancellations- Our policy for "Clients" cancelling more than 3 times after agreeing to translators "Quotes" without satisfactory reasons, agreeable to all parties-: suspension from using translation services under The Bag Lady.

Translated Text Declined- Our policy for "Clients" declining "translated text" after any necessary "amendments" have been made by the Translator on the instructions of the client (without satisfactory reasons, agreeable to all parties):- "deletion " from The Bag Lady directory and, suspension from using our services.
